BEHIND ZOSTERA EARRINGS

BEHIND ZOSTERA EARRINGS

When I started to imagine the Posidonia y el Mar collection, the first thing that popped into my mind was seaweed. I am fascinated by how they move in the depths, soft and free, following the rhythm of the water without resistance. That organic fluidity was the starting point.

Between sketches and ideas, I understood that what I wanted was to capture that living essence in a simple form, but with a lot of presence. I dreamed of a piece that would leave a block of colour on the skin, as if nature were leaving its own imprint. I wanted to create an original piece of jewellery, designed for women with their own style, who are looking to connect with pieces that say something more.

The colours came, as always, from what the recycled glass offered me this season. I work with what I have on hand, and that makes each collection truly unique. This time I had turquoise, green and amber.

Turquoise connects directly to the sea: its transparency, its mystery, its calm.

Green is the seaweed itself, its flexible body, its root anchored to the bottom.

And amber... amber is the sun filtering through the waves, the warmth seeping into the cold water, the memory of what was once land and is now part of the ocean.

Every curve of the glass reminds me why I chose to work with this material: because it is alive, because no two are ever the same, because it has memory. This is not just another piece: it is jewellery with history and meaning, designed for those who value authenticity and what is made from the heart.
